Best new casino game providers 2026

Which casino game studios count as new in 2026? Five providers founded since 2018, ranked on how fresh their catalogue is and what they add to a lobby.

RankReviewsScore
1 Nocturn Play 7.9/10
2 Hacksaw Gaming 9.0/10
3 Spribe 8.6/10
4 BGaming 8.2/10
5 SmartSoft Gaming 8.0/10

How this ranking was built

  • Recency: when the studio started releasing games, and how much of its catalogue is recent
  • What the studio adds that a lobby is unlikely to have already
  • Ease of access for operators: direct, through aggregators or platform partners
  • Localisation: languages and currencies, crypto included
  • Evidence of traction: titles players already ask for
  1. 1
    7.9/10

The only studio here whose entire catalogue dates from 2026: 18 titles released between 29 September and 5 October, including formats rarely seen in casinos such as a jewel cube, a ring board and a naval battle game.

  2. 2

    Hacksaw Gaming

    Founded 2018
    9.0/10

Founded in 2018 and still releasing at a pace that keeps its catalogue young, with a visual identity that makes new titles easy to spot.

  3. 3

    Spribe

    Founded 2018
    8.6/10

A 2018 studio whose Aviator redefined the crash category; its Turbo Games keep adding short-round formats.

  4. 4

    BGaming

    Founded 2018
    8.2/10

Launched in 2018 with crypto casinos in mind; provably fair casual games next to character-driven slots.

  5. 5

    SmartSoft Gaming

    Founded 2015
    8.0/10

Older than the others, but its recent releases keep extending the JetX family into new crash and casual variations.

“New” is a slippery word in a market where studios publish dozens of games a year. For this ranking we looked for providers that started releasing in 2018 or later, and asked one question of each: what does this studio give an operator that its lobby does not already have?

How to read this list

The rank follows the criteria above, not the MediaSoftware score. A studio can sit lower on the overall grid, where track record and catalogue size weigh heavily, and still top a list about freshness. Each studio’s full score is on its review page.

Nocturn Play: the newest catalogue

Nocturn Play released its 18 games in a single week of autumn 2026. Ten are slots; the others include Altitude Zero (crash), Fox Festival (a pachinko-style ball game), Night Bingo, Firefly Sweets (match-3), Ghost Fleet (naval battle), The Peacock Cube (3D jewel cube) and The Spindle of the Fates (ring board). Seventeen titles are distributed through SoftAggregator. The obvious caveat: none of them has a long live history yet.

Hacksaw Gaming and Spribe: the 2018 class

Hacksaw Gaming and Spribe both date from 2018 and both changed what operators expect: Hacksaw with comic-style, high-volatility slots, Spribe with Aviator. They are no longer newcomers in reputation, but their catalogues keep renewing.

BGaming and SmartSoft Gaming

BGaming built its catalogue for crypto casinos, with provably fair casual games. SmartSoft Gaming is the oldest studio on this list, founded in 2015, and earns its place through recent additions to its crash family.

Methodology note

MediaSoftware has a commercial relationship with Nocturn Play; the ranking criteria are published above and applied to every studio listed.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a new casino game provider in this ranking?

Studios founded in 2018 or later, or older studios whose recent releases carry their catalogue. Recency carries the most weight, followed by what each studio adds that a lobby does not already have.

Why is Nocturn Play ranked first if its score is lower?

Scores measure a studio on the full MediaSoftware grid, where track record and catalogue size count. This ranking is about newness and originality, where a studio launched in autumn 2026 with unusual formats comes out ahead.

Should an operator build a lobby only from new studios?

Rarely. New studios are best used to refresh a lobby built on established suppliers, giving players something they have not seen elsewhere.

How can an operator test a new studio's games?

Most studios offer free play or a test environment. Nocturn Play, for example, serves free play on its own website only.
